Nacionalista Party and Makabayan coalition senatorial candidate Rep. Liza Maza yesterday expressed strong doubts over the COMELEC pullout of compact flash cards and suspended delivery of PCOS machines in Metro Manila a week into the May 10 automated elections.
Manila: A senatorial candidate asked the country's election body to fix "at once" the problematic ink reader of the machines that will be used by some 40 million voters in the country's first automated polls on May 10.
MANILA, Philippines – Reports that the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and its partner Smartmatic-TIM for the May 2010 polls have turned off the UV ink readers for the 82,200 precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines should be a cause for concern to the public, senatorial candidate and Gabriela Representative Liza Maza said.
